Bangalore, 7th October 2019: Sankara Eye Hospital organized pedalathon to create awareness on eye donation on International World Sight Day 2019 and educate general public on blindness prevention and visual impairment at Cubban Park. The event was flagged off by Dr. Rajani, Joint Director, Ophthalmologist, Government of Karnataka at Press Club.
The event witnessed a participation from over 160 enthusiastic and passionate cyclists coming together to pedal through 3 kilometre stretch within the city.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Rajani, Joint Director, Ophthalmologist, Government of Karnataka Said, “I am delighted to be a part of this initiative by Sankara Eye Hospital. They have been very active in educating and creating awareness among general public on eye donation and in motivating people to pledge their eyes for donation after death.”
